The “Soldier Hug” project is a support network providing warmth and human connection to soldiers in the field, offering crucial support during the transition between combat and rest. We deliver emotional and social relief, recognizing that genuine human interaction is essential for a soldier’s mental resilience.
Our initiative is founded on a simple truth: beyond tactical gear and mission objectives, soldiers need emotional respite. These moments serve as an anchor in a complex reality, reminding them of the community and values they are fighting to protect.
Our main activities include:
Coordinated directly with commanders for rapid, flexible deployment, our teams create a vital bridge between the home front and the front lines. The feedback is a testament to the impact—soldiers report renewed motivation and strengthened bonds within their units. “Soldier Hug” is more than a name; it’s our mission to empower those who stand in defense of the country.

To strengthen the fighting spirit of our soldiers, we host vibrant Morale and Bonfire Nights in the field. These events feature high-quality barbecues, uplifting music, and visits from inspiring public figures, creating an invaluable opportunity for soldiers to connect and share experiences. More than just a meal, each evening provides crucial mental reinforcement and boosts motivation, forging a powerful, unifying experience that enhances their readiness and morale.
This initiative focuses on supplying IDF soldiers with apparel designed for extreme weather conditions. The project provides advanced thermal clothing tailored for operational activity in the cold. The gear is made from state-of-the-art materials that retain body heat while ensuring maximum comfort and freedom of movement. Primarily active during the winter months, this initiative significantly contributes to the health, well-being, and operational readiness of our soldiers in challenging weather.

This initiative supplies IDF soldiers with essential everyday apparel. We assemble and distribute kits containing socks, undergarments, base-layer shirts, and other items suited for the specific needs of military service. The kits are adapted for different seasons and the unique operational characteristics of each unit. The project gives special attention to soldiers on prolonged deployments and in remote units where access to personal laundry facilities is limited. Providing these basic necessities improves personal hygiene, health, and the overall sense of well-being during demanding service.
This initiative offers soldiers a refreshing and educational respite through unit-bonding days and cultural activities. In the time leading up to Passover, the project organizes tours of the traditional Matzah bakeries in Kfar Chabad. There, soldiers learn about the ancient process of Matzah baking and get to bake their own in a traditional tabun oven. The tours also include a visit to Etrog orchards, where soldiers learn about the significance of the Four Species in Jewish heritage. This initiative connects soldiers to their roots in a unique, hands-on manner, offering a meaningful break from their challenging military routine.

This initiative ensures every soldier can enjoy the warmth of a traditional Shabbat meal, no matter their location. We prepare and deliver complete, home-style meals—all strictly kosher—to bases and outposts across the country. This project allows soldiers to experience the special atmosphere of Shabbat even under demanding service conditions, strengthening their sense of community, connection to Jewish heritage, and overall well-being.
This initiative brings a special culinary experience directly to IDF soldiers in the field. The project operates mobile units equipped with portable ovens that travel to bases and outposts. There, we bake high-quality pizzas fresh on-site, right before the soldiers’ eyes, and serve them hot. This activity provides a delicious break from the demanding military routine and serves as a focal point for social bonding within the unit. Operating everywhere from training bases to remote front-line posts, the Pizza Patrol delivers moments of joy and comfort to soldiers serving in challenging conditions.
